My Story

Maybe you're like me. I was sailing along in life when suddenly everything changed. I felt like my health hit a brick wall. Unbeknownst to me, I was experiencing a thyroid storm.

Traditional medicine didn’t provide answers. I found myself going from doctor to doctor, following medical recommendations, but still not feeling better nor finding lasting solutions. I was frustrated and felt unseen & unheard. I didn’t know where to turn.

Fortunately for me, I discovered a functional medicine doctor who helped me realize that a lot was going on in my body. My symptoms resulted from a lifetime of subpar nutrition, nutrient deficiencies and lifestyle factors that contributed to symptoms.

After a detailed health assessment, I learned I had work to do. But I also found hope that I have a great deal of control over how I feel. I learned I needed to make changes in order to feel better.

While making changes wasn’t easy, I now had hope. I had a roadmap and I had support. I didn’t have to do it alone. It’s now my pleasure to offer hope & partnership to my clients. We’re a team.

Inspired by what’s possible by making food & lifestyle tweaks, I went back to school to study Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle coaching. I now have the privilege of helping others restore function to their thyroid so they can find hope, feel energized, enjoy vital wellness and greatly reduce or naturally resolve nagging symptoms.

Making changes in my nutrition and daily habits wasn't easy. But as I committed to doing the work, I started seeing positive shifts:

  • I feel better

  • I have newfound energy

  • Sleep disrupting heart palpitations disappeared

  • Weight started to fall off without really trying

  • Allergies cleared up

  • Asthma disappeared

  • Constipation resolved

  • Thinning hair grew back curly whereas before it was stick straight.

  • Skin blemishes cleared up

  • I wasn't cold all the time

  • I’m happier

These benefits resulted simply because I removed inflammatory foods that created symptoms for me and instead eat real, colorful foods. I also tweaked lifestyle practices like sleep habits, increased hydration, movement, employ better stress management skills and add FUN to my days.

I continue to be amazed at the resilience and potential for natural healing within the human body by making simple nutrition and lifestyle changes. There are no quick fixes or magic pills. But you too can look forward to long-lasting resolution of nagging symptoms when you commit to investing in your health.
